A sound forged with monstrous riff-driven guitars, laden with fuzz and bite. Thunderous Bonham-esque drums, meshed with heavy groove bass and sky-breaking vocals soaring beyond. They bring a modern Psych-Stoner Rock together with heavy pillars of Sabb-Zepp backbone into the current music scene.
Six months after their inception the band has seen rocket-speed accolades prior to any releases hitting the web or airwaves.
After a busy 2019 introduction to the Australian music scene with supports in the way of Earthless, multiple tour supports with The Tea Party, 1000mods (GR) and being the backing band for Nick Oliveri (QOTSA/KYUSS) around the country, The Black Armada are currently working on new material and due to record their first single and clip by the end of 2020.
Subsequent short tours, gigs and festivals will bulk out the next 12 months.
“The Black Armada are made of dense elements, tone and rhythm and yell. This is excellent, hard and heavy, the soundtrack to the stomping that everyone deserves at some point in their life.” The Underground Stage
“Somewhere in the middle of the day I found myself standing smack in the middle of the Rock and Blues stages completely mesmerised by The Black Armada. I actually didn’t even get any notes down because I was so enthralled by this new band. They’ve definitely stepped into the rock scene with one goal in mind: bring nothing but pure, gobsmacking rock and roll.” Music Beyond Headlines
