However audiences try to define Mountain Wizard Death Cult, there’s no denying the impact their genre-bending brand of atmospheric & paralysing metal has in the flesh and on record.

First appearing in early 2019, MWDC quickly built a reputation as one of the most hypnotic, crushing and devastating acts in the Sydney metal scene. Their moody anguished debut single ‘Eye of The Sun’ set the tone, whilst 2020’s follow up EP ‘Thrones of Putrid Light’ took listeners on a progressive journey to transcendent peaks with barrages of fuzz, tortured vocals and ambient waves and has been featured on Triple J’s The Racket on multiple occasions.

Venturing out in 2021 for their first interstate shows this October through December and fresh off sold out double headline home shows in Sydney and a main support slot for King Parrot in April, Mountain Wizard Death Cult will deliver a sonically crushing experience like none other and are a band to watch in the years ahead.
