FIGHT IBIS
The last year and a half has been tumultuous for most live acts to say the least. Fight Ibis is no exception, with a full lineup change, personal breakups, tour cancellations, lost recording sessions and more.
Kyuss, band frontman says "There's a glimmer on the horizon and we seem to be heading towards it just nicely. The atmosphere in the rehearsal room is exciting and the vibes around the table as we make plans for the future feel just as rich. It's definitely the next chapter for the band musically, emotionally and sonically. But don't be scared because we definitely still rock!"
From exciting origins as a Triple J feature act, appearances at The Big Pineapple Music Festival, Dead of Winter, Bigsound and more as well as supporting the likes of The Growlers (USA), Hockey Dad and Mako Road (NZ) in several sold out performances, Fight Ibis hit the road for a short run of QLD dates for the first time in almost two years.
Celebrating new single American Android, a stripped back slowburn recorded as it was intended, the band brings out a more honest debut to the new album ahead with no more hiding behind distortion and buried lyrics. Released Wed Feb 07 across all streaming platforms.
