ASTRODEATH Red Weed Tour: MELBOURNE

Conjuring a mountainous sound borne of madness and revelation, ASTRODEATH report back from the precipice, bringing us haunting visions of a blind and indifferent universe and the hideous, mindless creations that lie in wait, insatiable in their desire to dominate and devour. Hailing from Cadigal Land in the Eora Nation (otherwise known as Sydney), singer/guitarist Tim Lancken and drummer Yoshi Hausler weave an otherworldly musical alchemy that belies their earthly origins and underpins the ritualistic hypnosis of Astrodeath's furious and intimidating sound, a titanic reverberation that far exceeds the sum of its twin parts.

Astrodeath's latest offering RED WEED is firmly in the stoner rock realm, a slow chugging guitar compliments a chaotic and pummelling kick drum pattern and the tormented, screaming vocal echoes the pain of a man consumed by addiction and fear.

The fourth single release from the bands anticipated sophomore album Vol. 2 will see Astrodeath continue their road warrior ethos. Fresh off the back of the Full Rip tour and with no signs of slowing down. Astrodeath are fast becoming one of Australia's hardest working bands.

Having recently penned a deal with Young Management, fresh off the back of a headlining set at Thrashville music festival, and delivering a crushing set at Blacken Open Air Festival in Alice Springs, Tim and Yoshi are tour fit and hungry for headbangs.

The band will play shows in support of Australian headbanging heavyweights including Witchskull, King parrot, Captives and Clowns and will appear at festivals including: Froth and fury (ADE) Sonic Gravy (VIC) Frankie’s farewell (NSW) As well as a handful of headline shows.
