THE LONESOMES RELEASE NEW SINGLE & VIDEO FOR 'BLACK & BLUE'

After dabbling in more experimental, electronic-driven sounds on their recent releases, Gold Coast post-punk outfit The Lonesomes come out swinging with today's single and clip release for new track offering Black and Blue, stripping back to their blistering roots.
Black and Blue, produced by George Carpenter (Delta Riggs, Drug Cult) and mastered by Joseph Carra (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard), captures the cold, cutting edge that has become part of the band’s sound.
Known for chaotic live shows and strong on stage intensity, The Lonesomes have built a reputation as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging post punk acts. They have shared stages with The Chats, Bad Dreems, Dune Rats, Mammal and Gut Health, and continue to build momentum with more shows and festival appearances around the country.
The single release arrives with high speed visuals via a new filmclip, showing the band performing in the back of a semi trailer with the doors wide open, travelling down a highway while one member hangs out the back and another rides a dirt bike alongside.
Known for their top shelf filmclip production (averaging around 10k views per clip release), the new clip is reckless, urgent and unrestrained. Same can be said of the band's live performances.
Frontman Matt Callan explains "The track is about the person in your life who is there for you through thick and thin. The one who would drag themselves through hell for you, and you would do the same for them, until you are black and blue, and you would still do it again for each other, every single time."
With East Coast release shows rolling through November and December, The Lonesomes are currently bringing their energetic live show back to stages across the country, appearing on the Gold Coast tonight with upcoming shows in Sydney and Northern Rivers.
If the new single and clip are any indication... The Lonesomes next chapter is louder, tighter and more focused than ever.
