Forging unpredictable grooves, jagged riffs and tasty hooks, Gold Coast rockers Hammers are Australia’s answer to the lovechild of Every Time I Die, He Is Legend and Alice In Chains.

Comprising of vocalist Leigh ‘Fish’ Dowling, guitarist and vocalist Lucas Stone, guitarist Dario ‘Dazza’ Lagana, bassist Ricky T and drummer Ryan ‘Ruckus’ Lucas, the trademark Hammers brand gifts a rock’n’roll explosion for the ages, bringing together passion, technicality and an affable tongue-in-cheek swagger.

A grower and a shower, a lover and a fighter, Hammers are unapologetically flying the flag for true blue Australian rock’n’roll in a modern industry where fortune rarely seems to favour the bold. But, in true Hammers fashion, the quintet’s uncompromising wares have continually transcended any roadblocks in their way, striking an unforgettable balance between flippant fun and searing substance without sacrificing genuine craftsmanship. Equally in-demand onstage as they are for their diverse sonic smorgasbord, the brawny might of Hammers is only amplified further by the band’s boisterous musical flavours, Aussie spirit and authentic camaraderie.

Hammers have forged themselves a reputation as one of the hardest working bands on the Aus Aussie scene, having toured the country with He Is Legend (USA), The Butterfly Effect, Cog, Captives, Mountain Wizard Death Cult, Astrodeath and Rick Dangerous to name a few. The Gold Coast ratbags have also taken their hard-hitting live show to the festival circuit, playing events such as Blacken Open Air, Dead of Winter, Aftermath, Riff Mountain, Halloween Hysteria and Where We Belong, as well as headlining their own raucous East-Coast tours.

Self-funded and fiercely independent, Hammers have started their own record label Summerland Records and have released eight music videos, two EP’s and accompanying singles and produced two short film documentaries (The Kooks of Hazzard and Hammer with Bat Wings).

The band had a massive 2024, touring Japan and New Zealand for the first time as well as being nominated for Live Act of the Year at the Gold Coast Music Awards. 2025 has been spent holed up in the studio recording their debut album ‘Death Wobbles’, to be released later in the year. Their yet-to-be released record has already spawned three singles in the form of Top Fun, Fucked Around & Found Out and most recently Traps, pushing the band sonically on all fronts.

Watch this space for Hammers album tour dates and catch them when they steam-roll through your town!
